Greg Thompson is senior director of corporate communications and public affairs for Chick-fil-A, Inc. Prior to joining Chick-fil-A, Greg spent more than 20 years in various global communications management roles for IBM in the U.S. and Asia, including more than five years living in Tokyo, Japan. Greg joined IBM after a career as a photographer, sports writer, political writer, editor and bureau chief for three newspapers and The Associated Press. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
Greg also is involved as a volunteer and consultant with several faith-based ministries and NGOs around the world. He serves on the board of SCORE International and the Southeast Region board for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as well as other advisory boards for FCA Japan, CRASH Japan and Wheaton College.
He and his wife, Mary Belle, have been married almost 30 years and have two sons: Will, who is an FCA missionary in Japan, and Andrew, who lives in Portland, Oregon with the Portland Fellows program. Both Will and Andrew graduated from Wheaton College.
Greg and Mary Belle reside in Marietta, Georgia.
