HOI Staff Updates
HOI is happy to welcome three new members to our staff and is sad to announce the departure of another:
Caitlin McCormick is joining HOI as Development Coordinator. In this position Caitlin will be responsible for supporting various fundraising initiatives and events. Caitlin is from Atlanta and is a graduate of Appalachian State University. She has mission, economic development, and fundraising experience, having served with an NGO in Nicaragua. Caitlin speaks Spanish.
Louis Deas is the new Communication Coordinator for HOI. Louis has responsibility for all constituent communications including the HOI web presence, social media, newsletter, and collateral material. He has a background in communications, social justice advocacy, community uplift, and volunteer development. Most recently Louis worked with the Buckhead YMCA in Atlanta. He is a graduate of Morehouse College and is studying part-time for a Masters of Divinity at Mercer University. Louis is also a Spanish speaker.
Nancy Margoth Pinel is the new Physical Therapist at our Ranch in Honduras. She is a graduate of National Autonomous University in Tegucigalpa. She plans to continue her studies at the University of Guatemala and would like to open a rehabilitation clinic in Tegucigalpa with a few of her classmates.
Erin Daniel We are sad to announce that Erin Daniel, who has done an outstanding job for HOI for the past two years as our Coordinator of Communications and Development, will be leaving us at the end of June. Erin will become a full time student at Ga. Tech working on her MBA. We will miss her!
