Types of Trips:
Medical
Our nursing mission trips provide an opportunity to deliver essential healthcare services in partnership with local professionals. Volunteers will support medical clinics, offer health education, and participate in outreach programs aimed at improving overall community health. This trip is perfect for registered nurses, nursing students, and healthcare professionals eager to use their skills to make a tangible impact in a rural setting.
Veterinary
Join us for a unique opportunity to serve in rural Honduras through veterinary mission trips that focus on animal welfare and community health. Veterinarians and veterinary students will have the chance to provide crucial care through spaying and neutering programs, vaccinations, and health check-ups for both pets and farm animals. If you’re passionate about improving the lives of animals while contributing to the well-being of local communities, this trip offers a meaningful and rewarding experience.
Church
A mission trip with a church group is an unforgettable experience that will challenge and grow your faith. Whether you bring a multigenerational group or a youth team, you’ll witness lives being transformed as you serve together in Honduras. Each group will be assigned a specific community, where they’ll engage in hands-on service projects such as building, teaching, and providing care. Time will also be set aside for devotionals, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and prayer, deepening your spiritual connection while making a lasting impact. This trip is designed to stretch participants in their service to others, fostering growth in both their faith and their relationships with God.
College
Our college mission trips offer students the chance to serve communities in Honduras while gaining valuable hands-on experience in community development, healthcare, education, and environmental sustainability. College students will work alongside local leaders on projects such as building infrastructure, conducting health assessments, applying their engineering skils, or tutoring children. This trip is ideal for students looking to apply their studies in a real-world setting and make a meaningful impact.
High Schools
High school mission trips provide a transformative experience for teenagers to serve communities in need while developing leadership skills and deepening their understanding of the world. High school groups will partner with communities and engage in service projects like building, assisting in the schools, and helping in our clinic. Students will also have time for team-building activities to reflect on their experiences and observations.
Vision Trip
A Vision Trip is designed for individuals or groups looking to explore potential long-term partnership opportunities with HOI. These trips focus on learning about the culture, understanding the needs of the community, and seeing firsthand the impact HOI is making in Honduras. Participants will meet with local leaders, tour the HOI facilities, and gain insight into how they can partner with HOI to make sustainable change.
